Also, Glen (ninjabones) and I have been communicating via PM and we will definitely be running into each other at track events. I'm sure we will learn a lot from one another as we both are transitioning from C4's to C2's. Most of my close friends have a different mix of cars that they track ; 996 TT's, Subi STI's, and M3's. Most of the enjoyment from this expensive hobby is spending time with people just as sick as me. Sort of makes me feel sane..
In just a short time back on Rennlist, I have learned so much about 993's as everyone here is very helpful and willing to take the time to answer many questions.
+1

FYI... My Wife hates you guys

I understand that if you need to know something particular about your actual car or a potential mod, the search function is key. I guess I was also referring to the general cameraderie of just picking up your phone and calling another Rennlister to shoot the shi* about your car and maybe an upcoming event. It is nice to have that human connection when the mood strikes ya.

Cheers,
Steve R

We have a pretty good core group of guys here in Nashville. Some of us are 993'ers while others have boxsters, 996, 997's and even a few non-Porsches. I think I feel the most cameraderie with other past or present 993'ers as our cars are truly special, but like someone sais earlier, we all have something in common with Porsche in general, be it a 964 or even a 914.

I also agree however, that the search key is the best place for pertinent info, but the human touch phone call or meeting for a beer to discuss life has its advantages over the search key FWIW.

Mark in Baltimore.

If he hasn't done it, its not worth it, and if he has, its probably way too expensive for me anyway.
