Default Has anyone had BumperPlug.com paint their Bumperettes?

I'm considering having my front and rear Bumperettes painted to match the car.
Has anyone had BumperPlugs.com paint theirs? He wants $285 per pair to paint. Price seems a bit high but his work is excellent.
I had him paint a pair of Turbo S air scoops last month and the color match and finish is as good or better than the factory.
Any thoughts and pictures would be appreciated.

Eric is the DaVinci of Porsche paint. He also knows how to properly prepare the bumperettes so the paint adheres properly.

He did the rear bumperettes on my Lapis Blue 01 996TT (it's on his website) and the rear bumperettes and PMNA front splitter on my Polar Silver 95 968 Cab.

Needless to say, everything looks completely OEM.

I think it would be incredibly difficult to paint match/blend without another section of the car available for that purpose. Just sending them in for paint wouldn't be enough.

See what a local shop would charge you to fill in the bumperettes instead.

I had my rear bumperettes & grill painted by previous owner's shop, so I can't give any input on price. Just some photos...

I'd agree with "allill", though. Fill the fronts. I'd probably leave the rears black as black won't show the scuffs/marks/cracking as the silver painted bumperettes do.

As a comparison versus standard:

Now, just the rear:

Take a look at my Polar Silver bumperettes and/or the PMNA front splitter on the 968....it looks exactly as if it came from the factory. Same for the Lapis Blue bumperettes.

Trust me, Eric is that good.

Bumper Plugs painted my rear bumperettes. 2 years later, no cracking or peeling. I'm very pleased.
