Default pelican $46 dealer $63

haven't bought anything from pelican in ages... & then this morning thought i'd ck. 'em out.

the above price was for a new (hot) air duct for a vaioram 993. #993-106-403-00-m100

just thought (as i needed it) this post could be a reminder one does not have to pay full retail.

can't tell ya how many times i've just picked stuff up @ the stealer... wasted mod $ fo' shizzle (adds up)

& no no aff'l w/ them... just happy to have that "not raped" feeling

DME's reported on here for under $29...dealer $45 with tax...guess that's where the term stealer comes from.

Pelican is pretty good but I find they have inconsistent pricing...often Sunset and others will beat them by quite a bit. For example, a brake booster is abour $421 at Pelican and $330 at Sunset. On other things Pelican pricing can be very good...is pays to shop.

Cheers,

Mike

I buy mostly from Sunset but I got a good price on my power window motor from Pelican so I asked them about window switches. They sell a $15 knock off as well as the OEM. I asked the sales guy how they were made and it was funny because he said they were "just as badly made" as the OEM for less than a third of the price. They still work fine and I keep extras in my glove box as you can swap them out at a red light if need be.

I must be very lucky because the Melbourne Prosche parts store beat prices on all the parts I was looking for when compaired to Pelican and Autohauz and Automotion. No affiliation, just happy to save money and got great service from the local stealer.
