David - Can you tell us exactly how this process works? What concentration you use. How do you apply it. Is it used during the final rinse (etc.). This sounds like a really good idea.

Yes please expand. Can you compare this technique to the Mr clean no dry car wash (which I've found to be ineffective). Does the jet dry strip wax?

He did explain a little in a follow-up post, but I was wondering about it stripping wax, too.

A little OT, but hey LT1 I noticed your in Holmdel, cool. I have a brother and sister-in-law there. We usually get back each summer to spend time on their boat and see fireworks on the 4th in Red Bank.

I was originally looking for white or silver. I found an amazing '97 in Guards Red and could not pass it up. It's been over 2 years now and I love it!

red and cashemire leather is a GREAT combination ...
Red is very nice and beautifull .....
middle age crisis my a$$$ ....

yellow and red are exciting and great sport colors in LOTUS, FERRARI and Porsches for several decades .... Silver is nice, but 8 out of 10 cars seems to be silver color and makes them boring ....

(i have a silver mercedes ... and i like it ... dont missunderstand me ..)

i always LOVE the idea to have a yellow C2S ..... and have no middle age problem AT ALL ...

see ya !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Red cleans up real nice. I use the orbital polisher once a year and keep the wax fresh. I went for the car with the best mechanicals. It just happened to be covered in red.

I'd agree with your wife on this Anyway, you're always going to have that comment from her in the back of your mind.

If;s really your second choice, keep looking for your 1st choice, you'll find it. There are TONS of well maintained 993's in SoCal. Keep looking and good luck brother!

Being the owner of two guards red P-cars (95 C4 and 79 RoW SC) I thought I should chime in. Red was low on my list of desired colors believe it or not. But in both cases the cars I bought were a step or two above the others I looked at in terms of being solid, no-issues cars which in the end trumped all else.

That said if there was one thing I'd change about the 993 it would be the color. Somehow I think the red looks better on the older car. In the end I guess all I'd want to impart to you is this: be honest with yourself about how important the color of the car is to you. Is that mid-life crisis comment is something you can laugh at and forget or will it nag at you? I have found that people have strong pre-formed opinions about these cars and the people who drive them no matter what.

Finally I haven't found the police to be any more attentive to me in these red cars as in any other cars I've driven in the last 20 years.
