Sweet Also, Steve, I am really close to ordering an RS clutch from you. I just need to save a few more pennies. Maybe I should sell the strut bar to help pay for the clutch. How much is a brand new RS strut bar worth? Anyone, PM me is someone wants it. I could use an RS clutch more.

I have a KLA brace (http://www.klaindustries.net). Why? Because it was relatively cheap. And it requires no stud pulling, and it sits nicely under the carpet.

I have the GT2 brace. I lent it to Mike J to make a copy of it and it looks great. I think he was planning on making a few for some local RLers so you may want to PM him and get some details.

If you are driving a coupe and use it for street only, (occasional spirited driving) does it really make a difference w/ or w/o strutbar? What are the main differences?

Probably not. I did notice that a creak I had went away, and feel that turn-in may be a bit sharper. Otherwise, these cars are pretty stout from the factory.

Ditto: Less creaking, sharper turn in. I have the Porsche OEM Cup brace.

I went with a local product call Titanium Advantage, uber light, perfect fit at around $250.00. http://www.titaniumadvantage.com/

Since all a strut brace does is keep the two shock towers from moving in, in respect to each other, a 2 x 4 if attached properly would do the same thing as any brace but obviously wouldn't look as good .....LOL

I found a Bey-Kraus here on Rennlist. I like it because the mounts do not have towers so the bar is between the mounting screws...dunno if it makes any difference but there is less leverage.

Ciao
