Steve,

I was hoping that the thread I vaguely remembered addressed the GT2 spoiler, but the one in question in Louis' thread is an RS spoiler.

I'll shoot the seller an email and ask about the material.

FWIW, I've heard that even the MA Shaw products need some prep work, although I've heard from a few local Rennlisters that their MA Shaw products just needed primer and paint. No prep work or filling was needed.

That's great Mark.

At that price I certainly don't mind doing a little prep work.

Mark, I'm sure the GT2 splitters are made of the same fiberglass as the RS splitters I bought for my cab. I'm sure you read the comments on my thread so I'll just say that I would buy them again in a heart beat. In fact, I may very well buy their amber brake light lenses.

Thanks, Louis. If one were to buy from MA Shaw, the material would still be fiberglass. Is the factory GT2 piece non-fiberglass?

Mark,

I took some pics of the reinforcement brackets. I personally would not spend a lot of money on this spoiler as it gets abused on the roads and track because it sits very low to the ground. No matter which one you get it will require some prep before painting.

Thanks for posting pics of the brackets. Gives me an idea of what else I will have to do when installing the spoiler.

I just ordered one and will provide photos and feedback when it arrives. BTW - only 3 left.

That looks like the right price for the Hippo. Wish they had the rear wing...

Al,

Thanks so much for the pics! Which part needs reinforcing? The center piece or the side piece?

007 is a very bad influence.

Mark,
The brackets are used on either side of the middle section used to connect to the left and right sections and provide additional support. It appears to me that the middle section is the weak link. I believe the owner before me replaced the middle section due to an off track excursion. It probably wouldn't hurt having a spare. Ok. I'll resist, need to save for wheels.

Mark,

I've bought the brake ducts/clear lense from HK and all I want to say is that "you get what you pay for"
Just don't expect OEM/factory type product made in Germany...

Oh $hit!

I did plan on buying the Brake Ducts from MAShaw because of fitment. But to alot of other people's points, this Splitter will likley take a beating. I'll report my findings in a month or so.

I like the brake ducts. Who makes them if you know?
