Default green c4s

quick question, i've been looking at that c42 at truespeed. but the green has been stopping me from getting serious about it. 41.8K miles advertised for $49K. Sounds pricey to me but I heard good things about the dealer. any thoughts? I saw another aventurine color but it looked practically grey!

The colour is a great one for the 993 but I am biased. I like it because depending on the light, it can look blue, gray, green or black. If you like the colour, they are very rare on the S and 4S models...most aventura/aventurine green cars I have seen are 95 carreras.

I think you have two rights-the 993 is awsome so do consider it and Patrick is a little off when it comes to cars-but a VERY GOOD OFF!

Great combo but it needs some PSS9's.

Are they that rare? I have a '96 C4S in Aventurine green.

I personally love the color, especially because the interior leather in grey seems to match so well.

People frequently mistake it for grey in somewhat low light...in particular valets (grrr!). Also, people with red-green color blindness. So it takes on a very "stealth" look at dusk/evening.

In bright sunlight, though, beautiful metallic patina.

The best comparable I can give is the Pacific Ocean in the Pacific Northwest. In winter, it looks grey, in summer it can look almost blue. Maybe I'm biased, but definitely Porsche's most interesting non-custom color.

Yours and David in LA are making me consider a 993 cab. Never been a 'vert man but it's a nice option.

Hey! leave my buddy Patrick alone. Just because he changes cars as often as you change shirts/underwear/socks/wives - take your pick - doesn't justify being publicly called out. Seriously, aventurine green is a great color. It reminds me of the color of my '74 911 - petrol blue. Some people thought it was green, others saw it as a blue.

I have Aventurine cab. Saw an Aventurine coupe in Boston on Monday as well.

I like the color. Although I think Riviera Blue or Speed Yellow are the best colors for a 993. Aventurine comes after them in my book. Nice, understated and unusual.

Really grows on you. Might even call it a 'campy' color. See my avatar.
