I work in New Rochelle a 20 minute train ride from Grand Central and park in a garage one block from the train station. The video security and I pay $720 a year.

Tom...can you PM or post more details on the parking? I'm guessing that is just an open garage?

FWIW, it took me awhile but I have a private 1 car garage in Astoria, Queens, 2 blocks from the N/W line for $200. I have toyed with teaming up with a rennlister to share a 2 car in the same neighborhood...

It is a mall type garage with exposed walls but is covered. They have security gaurds and video. When I reread my post I rembered that The $720 is for business hours, for $1,000 they have extended business hours 7 days 8am-2am, I'm sure 24/7 would be more. It is New Roc City garage and you can contact the City of New Rochelle for more info at 914-654-2189.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and good tips/advice.

I have decided to leave the 993 in Houston for now. The money saved in storage and insurance will more than pay for trips back to see family or track days.

Either way, whatever works for you.

Get settled-in in NYC and see if you miss your 993 or not.
