PPI in Kansas City, Missouri Can anyone help me?
Buying a 993 from a fellow rennlist member:
There are some oddities about the car but I like the car and I am willing to buy it if the PPI checks out well. These are the shops that he told me were in the area, I was hoping to compile a list of places and call them.
Imagine Auto
Bob Hindson Racing
German Import Specialists
Aristocrat Porsche
Anyone know of any others that are good at PPIs?
Thanks in advance.

I'm in KC
I would recommend Imagine Auto. I think they are a sponsor and Stephen Kaspar (the owner) is a PCA technical advisor. BHR is another good option. I wouldn't take it to Aristocrat. They are the local Porsche dealer but I don't think they would be as thorough.
If you need someone to check out the car for you, let me know. I am headed out of town tomorrow through Friday but I could look at it over the weekend if you like.

I think both imiagine or BHR are good choices. BHR has been around KC forever and has LOTS of experience where imagine is relatively new, however, I don't know the techs and how long they have been in the game. I would probably go to BHR if it were me.
What are the details on the 993?

Imagine Auto FTW!!! They're the absolute best. On the other side of the coin...I wouldn't trust Aristocrat with a Plymouth Reliant. I have had several instances myself and heard countless horror stories from that place.

No records, odometer changed out so reads 30K miles instead of 180K miles. Thats the bad. The good is flawless gorgeous repaint done at 150K miles, very nice interior for the age, no rebuild done yet and the car has 180K miles! Valves on drivers side are noisy. Has new bilstein HDs on read and less new bilstein HDs on the front. Relatively new H&R springs on front and rear. Needs tires as well. If all checks out with a thumbs up ill have my 993 soon! Gotta finish the sale of my 911 too.

If the price is right and you are handy for whatever DYI's that come up with a higher mileage car, this sounds like a great car!
Was the repaint done with glass in or out? Even if it was masked perfectly there will always be some detecatble line where the clearcoat is. Make sure you find this out and take it into account when making the final offer.
Is this the artic silver car in Liberty, MO? If so, I think it has been serviced at BHR (not positive) so you might want to call them and see what they say about it.

It is in Kansas City. I think BHR has done a few things on it but I am not sure if they are his main wrench. I'll double check about the paint, thanks! God will somebody take the buy it now on my 911 or what? haha

don't mean to burst your bubble but....
you should get realistic about lowering your price considerably if you are planning on selling the '87 cab. on ebay to finance your 993..
....if ithe '87 had under 90K miles then maybe the price would fit because someone would live with that color combo
also way to much rambling about it's condition...looks like you are desperate to sell.
whats up with the front passenger seat bottom???...looks like 2 large discolored marks in the leather?
green/green is a tough sell and very undesireable...also it is winter in 2/3 of the country.
....you can go on and on about how great a color combo it is but i've noticed even the green (exterior)993's sit for months with no movement.
not slamming just being realistic because i am sure you are as anxious as i was to purchase a 993.
