Edit: at least that is what the ad read this morning.
No affiliation. Just saw this on Craigslist and thought someone here may be interested. No photos.

I keep being annoyed by ads that say tiptronic - rare! I saw a couple of ads over here in Europe for like C2S's with tip being advertised as (tiptronic, very rare option on the C2S). That might as well be, but in the AD it was written in a manner as if the tip itself (as an option) demanded a premium.. Which is the opposite of the reality. Could be deceiving for the inexperienced buyer.. Oh well..

"Rare" does not equal "valuable." The people who advertise tiptronics and sportomatics and other variations of cars that are rare only because they were, and will always be, undesirable, are cynical or stupid or both.

Just looked at the ad again. At some point they removed the "4" as well. Now it is a $34,995 tiptronic C2, rather than a C4S. No big deal, there can't be that big of a difference...right?

Hey All,
Speaking of Tips... can anyone give me their opinion of how the tiptronic drives compared to the 6-speed? I am in the process of upgrading to a 993, and have come across a few tips. But, they are out of town and will require a visit to check them out. I have not found any in town to get a driving impression of.
I enjoy DE's, and am concerned about the differences.
What say you?
Thanks,
Steve
