No. If the valve cover gaskets need replacing - which they pro'lly do - Then just replace them. It is an easy DIY, or at the very least an hour of labor plus parts at a decent shop.

If there are other seals that are letting go, and you are going to the considerable expense of an engine out reseal THEN I would consider doing a valve job. In fact I would wait until you actually need a valve job before dropping the engine, period. Don't bother pulling the engine for a reseal - especially if you are not DIY-ing.
