The 964 and 993 have similar systems with many of the pre '92 cars converted from R-12. The operating condition will vary with each car. Any 964 or 993 will fit the requirements, just mention you want the A/C looked over closely (look for leaks and operating temps) when you do the PPI. Find the best 964 or 993 you can afford. (generally the 964's will be less $$$)

Nice Rides.....

I think you are looking at the right vehicle. (there's always the RX-8 )As for A/C, the 993 system should be adequate, so long as everything is up to snuff. I would say it's probably going to be a bit less powerful than the e55, though.

Oh, did I mention that Factory Five looks awesome?

Enrico, yes we were at the Loading Dock in Grafton.

Mike, I'm not worried about the power as long as it is as fun to drive as I understand them to be. I'd get a 60's 911 if I wasn't worried about air cond.

Thanks again to all. I will see if I can find a Porsche dealer or reputable mechanic to do the PPI, as I will have no clue.

Oops.....looking back I saw the error in my post. I meant the A/C power, not the engine power, haha. The 993 in any shape or form should have more than "sufficient" power.
