Three Wheelin'
The last time I saw you -- we were at the AirCooled Show -- and hanging around after, ahem, knocking back a couple of brewski's. You were telling me you were going for this 'op' - and, I remember saying to the wife, during the following week, that I HOPED the surgery went well for you.
SOOOO glad to hear it did -- and not for nuffin, heart surgery is not for the faint hearted -- so treat from here on in - as serious rest time for yourself.
We'll undoubtedly play catchup with you during '08 -- YOUR job, between now and then, is to get better!
Cordially,
Gerry and Janet

Brewmeister,
Carbon Fiber and Titanium! Boy, how things change. And I thought they were still using pig valves for replacements! Now if they could just do the Op without cracking ribs!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Pig valves don't last as long. Which valve you get depends on how long you plan on living before needing another operation. Valve replacement without open heart surgery is on the horizon. My friend is practicing valve replacement through catheters on the French right now.

Do to the fact that my leg arteries branched in a difficult spot this technique
had to be abandoned and they had to revert to the old method. I have
all the incisions for the minimally invasive method but those incisions
were not used. One of those unused incisions developed a hematoma and
hence the complication. It has made my walking therapy more difficult
and has been causing fevers on a daily basis. Hope that dang thing begins to heal soon.
It would make recovery quite a bit easier.

It was great meeting you at that event. The level of detail of our cars was
well appreciated by participants and spectators alike. Even though it was
a laid back and relaxed show it was one of the best times I had this summer.
Hanging out with you and Janet made it special. If you folks had not come
that day it would have been alot less enjoyable.
Thanks for being there!

asked him what valve alone was worth. The price for one St. Jude
37mm mechanical heart valve is $6500.00! And you thought parts for
the 993 were expensive!
