Come on guys you cant say that each time you take the car out you never exceed the speed limit. Hes just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I do 20 over without even noticing.

Whenever I take out my 993 I actually give myself more time to arrive. The audi attracts a lot less attention from the fuzz than a GR 993(esp here in Indiana).

Several years ago my wife got 3 tickets in less than 4 months - 2 by the same cop (she accused him of profiling her - whatever that means). She really doesn't speed like I do, but just was at the wrong place at the wrong time - 3 times.

lawyer for sure.
you may want to take some seat time off too... i can't imagine what the dmv & law enforcement would do to ya w/ another. get a good atty & see if you could do driver safety classes, whatever to have some points taken off.

man... yer *** must stick to the seat (like a suction cup) everytime you see the po po!
i'd be so stressed.

had a client once who owned a soda bottling co.; had many exotics but could not drive b/c he could not get insurance b/c of too many infractions/accidents. he was nuts & i do think the co's thought he'd eventually kill someone. finally got a driver. couple years later & he was drivin' again... insured too.

bol & look forward to your outcome thread...

OK I had the hearing. I went with a lawyer who charged a flat $2000. He has lunch every other Friday with the judge who heard my case.

Outcome: 1 month suspension and 11 month probation (meaning if i get a ticket the license gets yanked no questions asked).
The original indictment was for 6 months suspension. So i saved 5 months but my insurance is still going to skyrocket.

Live and learn. Now i just save all my speeding for the track. Oddly enough I find it rather calming sitting in the middle lane watching all the youngsters speed by while I sip my tea and listen to classical radio. But highway on and off ramps are still fair game....

Thanks. Found an attorney in my work building and we didn't even have to go to court - just dialed in from his office. So at least no stress or time wasted there.

I dunno. Sure, a one month suspension is better than the six month term, but was there no way to get out of the suspension altogether by taking a class and/or paying a higher fine? $2,000 and a suspended license seems like a heavy price to pay for an attorney who is pals with the judge. Disclosure: I have not paid a lawyer to represent me for a moving violation in twenty years, so I am not very experienced in this matter.

Sounds like the judge is bought and paid for....

This is appalling IMO and shouldn't happen in America (even though it does). My $.02...

Habitual Offender is the term that comes to my mind...

God help you, should you ever have an accident with injuries.... or worse be under the influence in an accident.

please be careful!

On a lighter note, I know a guy that got out of a 130mph ticket, when he said he was a racer, instructor, and the car was preped for the track (it was).... his story was he was picking up rent money (he is a landlord), and was being followed and got on the express way to out run the thugs...

So how are you getting around during the 1 month suspension? I would have hoped for a "conditional" drive-to-work-only deal for my $2K.

Lawyer will probably help, but the judge will probably put you on some sort of restrictive temporary licese. (Only able to drive to and from work to home)
