Default Clock not working after dash removal

I had to pull my upper dash piece the other night to fix some radio reception issues. It seems after putting it back together that my clock has stopped working. I pulled it again and checked all connections. Nothing seems to work except the warning lights. The switch to adjust the clock time also does not function. Everything is plugged in and I didn't do anything except lay the clock and speedo on the steering column to get to the nut off by the air vents.

any ideas?

yes. did you unplug the clock from the dash with a screwdriver?
One of the few remedies is to resolder the connections in the back because these tend to disconnect if you pull hard on the plug. Else, this happened to me and I purchased a used clock and exchanged the rear soldered board for it to work.
if you search here, very detailed explications were posted before.

Thanks Geolab.

Do you mean that the internal circuit board needs to be resoldered? Or just the connector on the back. I checked that to make sure everything was plugged in properly and it did appear to be. I did remove with a small flathead screwdriver so perhaps this is my issue.

Any idea on the best place to find a clock for the car?

The clocks come up occasionally on Ebay. I believe 964 & 993 clocks are the same.

The adjuster switch acts by grounding the connection to the big pin on the rear of the clock. I've seen quite a few bad connections, where the female harness end failed. It seems fragile, but can be resoldered.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but you've checked the fuse?
