Well, all went extremely well. I am quite happy with the results. I decided to remove the intake manifold on the right to improve access and also replaced the oil sender and SAI valve at the same time. It was extremely easy to remove and replace the intake (at least one thing easier than working on my Dad's 68 Buick) and IMHO made the whole job much easier.
Thanks again for all your help! This place rocks!

Great job.
What you did was no easy task.
I cut a tiny screw bit with a hack saw.
Then I was able to grab the screw bit with needle nose pliers and loose the spark plug clamps.
Once they were loosed alittle, I used a screw driver to pry or lift up the clamps.
Again, no easy task.
Congratulations.

Congrats! And the sai valve and oil sender. Good thinking.
"Remove the intake on the right"? Did you remove just part of the intake? I had planned on removing the whole thing...
Thanks,
Pete

I only removed the passenger side (right)intake. It gave me enough access to do it all. If you remove the center and drivers intake it will only help with the plug wire clip on the left side of the fan shroud and looked like a lot of additional time/work for little benefit. If you remove the front fan shroud vent cover thingy as recommended by Dudley above it will help you push out the clip on that side and it was easy to snap it back in with the use of a flat head screwdriver.
Good luck!
