Default Quick question on wheel torquing

I will be getting my 993 hollow spoke twists mounted and balanced tomorrow, and was wondering if anyone had the correct torque numbers for the hollow spokes. I have aluminum lug nuts as well.

So far with the car, I have been torquing the stock wheels (D90's) and aluminum lugs to 80 ft/lbs. I feel that number is a little low for the D90's, but I need the correct spec for the hollow spokes. Should I just stick to 80 ft/lb?

Thanks!

I think 80 ft/lb is correct for hollow and no hollow spoked wheels.

stand corrected... don't know what I was thinking or more likely not thinking... 96 ft/lbs is correct torque specs.

I have never strayed from 96 ft/lbs, hollow spokes or not.

Cool Torque on wheels...

+ 1 on Chris's response. Check your Owners Manual.

The Arena Red wide bodies are known to require a bit less ....

I use 95 ft lb... just to be sure
Not sure why there would be a difference with hollow spoke or other. Still the same lug, stud and lug seat on a wheel.

The mounting base is NOT hollow, so please use the factory recommended spec and you'll be fine. Also, be sure to use anti-seize on the threads...

Cory, I thought Blazer mounted and balanced these a couple of weeks ago. What happened?

Regards,

I use 95 as my Snap-On torque wrench only dials at 5 lb increments.

Why anti sieze on the threads? Is this a Porsche-required or suggested procedure?

I know the base isn't hollow on the wheels. I just wanted to be sure on what I should torque them too. Blazer told me 100 ft/lb, so I'm getting all sorts of answers.

Yes, I would read the owners manual if I had a 993 owners manual!

I found 94 to cause some vibration, so I have been at 105. Could be my soft aluminum lug nuts are worn.
