MaxSpeed group buy update
I received my dead pedal today and I tried it on the car, it seems to fit perfectly and looks great. I haven't installed it yet. MaxSpeed did stand behind their promise. Thanks Ron and MaxSpeed.

Now that looks nice.
I also got an email from Maxspeed stating that the replacement pedal is on it's way. It is nice to see that vendors (like Maxspeed) stand behind their word.

Ccan someone post a pic of an installed setup. Especially the dead pedal. I'm searching for something to replace what I've got. I'm not a big fan of the metal pedals, however I need a deadpedal replacement.
I wonder if they'd sell just a dead pedal....their website only has sets.....

Hey, KJR :
I was able to make the original deadpedal taht was sent to me work by doing a small grind job. WOrks fine but I just got my replacement so the original is a spare. You can have it for lunch and the cost of shippiing Priority---say $20 if you want it. PM me

Ok....I recieved my new deadpedal from Maxspeed....Nello sure is top drawer.....I'll certainly try and buy from Maxspeedin the future.... My issue is installing the dead pedal. Is that steel that I'm trying to put these screws into?.....Is there an installation sheet or instructions from Rennline available some where? Or could somebody just tell me how they have done it......????......

Just buy a few metal screws (1 inch) and use the two mounting holes on the left lip. Then pick one of the holes on the inside that you can reach with a drill and mount one screw there (for me it was the second hole). Simple, takes 5 minutes.

Seems like the frame is just behind the carpet ..... I have sheet metal screws, I think......Should I drill holes all the way through and then "tork em down"?
BTW Thanks Ninj

I got my pedal a few days ago and drilled the bottom 2 holes on the lower L flange easily and the lowest hole on the RT side of the pedal witout any difficulty. I used the s/s metal screws that I didn't use on the other pedals to secure to the body. Yes it is metal to drill through. I may swap out those screws later on for something that recesses in to the holes nicer. I used s/s allen head bolts and nuts and washers to secure the other pedals.
The other screw holes on the pedal that are on the RT side are pretty inaccessible with a drill..even tried a dremel drill with no success but those 3 screws secured the pedal very well. I could possibly get at the other holes with a 12" drill bit.
For now looks great. Very pleased.

Ya Ha!.....You were right!......except it took me more like 7 minutes to get the job done....lol
Didn't want to be drilling into an oil line or brake line or anything.....
I must say that this is a much better fit than the first one....my sister took her first drive in the car while wearing a pair of thongs and her left one caught on the under side of the dead pedal after depressing the clutch.....not a real comfortable feeling in traffic....
This one looks nice and has the clearance needed......hats of to Maxspeed for being a stand-up vendor!
Hey hpuck....was just at a birthday party for a friend of mine who is from around your parts.....(Kirkland, Lakes, anyway).....you may have heard of him- Ralph Backstrom - yeah I know....ex-Hab, but a great guy......owns a little minor league team just north of Denver....Lot's well known players at the gig.....the open bar made it a bit cloudy for me, but it sure was fun.
Anyway....thanks for the tips...off I go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
