What size subwoofer is best for 993?
I'm adding a subwoofer to my existing system (non-OEM) and was curious as to what size is most accommodating for the size of the 993 cockpit - 6", 8" or 10"?
I plan to use a ported enclosure and sit it behind the passenger seat.

Behind the passenger seat you should be able to fit an 8" sub. Car Audio Innovations which is a sponsor on here sells enclosures for 8" subs that fit behind the seats. I have 2 JL Audio Amps for sale in the classified section for a great price if you're looking for that upgrade as well.

I had a single JL Audio in m 911SC, and it POUNDED!. Very tight bass. it was powered by a Linear Power PC450.
How good the sub will sound depends on the power feeding it, and the enclosure as well. Pioneer has a new slim sub that looks good that I have heard good things about.

Mark: I'll take your amps!! PM sent.
Rick: My B&B is just enough.
McGarrett: Nice enclosure!!! I just want the ability to remove my 'tronics when I race.

Jordan - thanks! Like your write up and recommendations. I'm definitely looking into the rear seat delete and placing my sub in there.
Is Flat-Six Performance a new shop since MOM closed?

Subwoofer
Preferences vary but I tried a 10" behind the passenger's seat and it literally blew me out of the car. Just too much bass. It was powered by a CDR-220 and a newer model amp. Just too much for the small space. Try an 8" under the dash.

With Mind Over Motorsports indeed closed and the partners splitting, my plans for Flat-6 are to offer boutique Porsche broker services (I'm also a licensed dealer) - both contracted and very low volume nice example "general sales". I'm also involved in some fun projects for clients that desire turn key and highly configurable a-la-carte builds of 73 911 RS & RSR replicas using a later 911 donor chassis up to 1989 supplied either by our client or by Flat-6. The replicas are a collaborative effort with another alliance I have who is a 30 year Porsche mechanic and fabricator. We can also do a 993 RS replica BTW. That said, Flat-6 is for now not offering street or track services and is focussed on whole vehicle sales.
I'll leave it there since I'm not yet re-established as a Rennlist sponsor under the Flat-6 umbrella so I don't want to overstep promoting the new commercial enterprise!

8" Infinity sub has been working great for me. Put it behind the drivers seat.
