Guys,
First off, please let me know whether you will be joining us for lunch at the Mountain Brahaus.
I know most of priorities and other plans, and asked about the mileage, time, and where we will end up. Here are a few answers:
Start: Sloatsburg Rest Area
End: New Paltz, NY area
Distance: 155 miles
Time: Approx 4 hrs. (according to Google, but probably a little less)
Hope this helps plan your day better.

Hi We haven't done this run before, so more questions!
What kind of place is the Mountain Brahaus? Is it a German restaurant or something else? Is it fancy? (Like, what's an average meal run, $8 or $28?)
We'd really like to make this drive, as the season is rapidly running out and chances to drive our cars are dwindling. But we also want to be adequately prepared/dressed for the occasion. And, is the distance you quote round trip or each way?
After this afternoon's gtg at Cubbys, we learned some valuable lessons about keeping the group together, and I'd be happy to volunteer my services to make your run even smoother. I have an idea that name tag labels would have made getting everyone's names straight much easier for us newbies to these gatherings.
And I should have picked up on your idea about bringing printed directions to the gathering, as we ended up losing a few links of our "tail" before the drive barely even got started. A call sheet with everone's cell numbers would have proven very useful today in helping get them back with the main group.
If we can make it, which is looking pretty good as of now, I'd be happy to hook everyone up. What do you think?

This is a very casual event, dress in comfortable clothes. The food is "american" nothing fancy and the cost will be under $15. Arrvin and I have been planning this event as we did the last 2. I agree that depending on how many cars show up we should split into smaller groups with team leaders. If you want to help out that would be great. I did this run last week and it will be a challenging scenic ride with twisties, sweepers and straights. I hope we get a good turn out from all model P cars.

Hi Bob, yes, it looks good that we can make it, so I'd be happy to help out in any way you'd like.
[EDIT: For your planning purposes, it will be my husband, me and our two kids.]
