Default LA area Vasek Polak racing stuff, tools, memorabilia

No relation, but many of you know Polak as a huge west coast racer with close ties to the factory race team. A bunch of old stuff. I should go down and take some pictures. Looks like this guy wants it all gone i.e. no onesie-twosie:

Please report back if you do check it out. It would be interesting to see what there is.

I grew up in San Pedro, and used to visit V.Polack shop over by Redondo Beach pretty often to look at the amazing collection of race cars etc. I imagine this collection is going to be pretty interesting. I wish I was out there now and could go take a look. I hope those of you who visit will give a full report, maybe post some photos.

I'm with you. I used to go there and pick up parts for my 84 Audi 4000S when I was in high school. My dad and I would go there and check out the cars. So cool. I remember one time he had a brand new 959 and a 917. Those were the days!!! I'd love a Vasek Polak license plate frame. Too bad it sounds like I'd have to buy the rest of the collection to get it!!!

Yeah, plate frame would be nice. I remember seeing 917s there, as well as a lot of other truly significant cars. It was an amazing place.

Possible pictures of the trailer found HERE

My father bought his first and only Porsche from Vasek in 1971. I grew up going to the dealership, seeing the race cars and dreaming of driving them. My father still has that car today with the original Vasek license plate frames.

I remember a guy named Peter that worked in the Vasek Parts department, I wonder if that is the same guy selling this stuff. I think I have his card somewhere.
yeah, I found his card, name is Peter Khoury, Parts Technician from when Vasek was in Hermosa. Must have ordered something from him way back when.
