WTB hazet socket
Well after three years I am stepping up and buying the HD/m030 suspnsion with sways from viper bob. I also figured I would order some rs motor mounts and rs pulley. Would anyone like to sell the Hazet socket they bought for the susupension install? I figured this is the type of tool you buy and only use once. I am excited by all of this DIY

Just buy a 1 5/8" spark plug socket, the type with a hex top and hole through the end so you can run the 7mm allen key. Much cheaper, works, and you might even use it for spark plugs on another car.

Phelixs recommendation is the next best choice to a Hazet socket - the latter which few are likely to ever see.
What also works is a set of vise grips locked on the sides of a sacrificial socket ... not that I would ever resort to such shade tree cobbled up devices ...

I bought mine here:

Better than a hacked-up socket.

On some cars (not sure about the 993) I've also been able to use offset box end wrenches. And check the nut sizes on the OEM shocks and the HDs; they may be different.

Here's what I did... Go get the cheapest socket you can find (that's the correct size)... then get the cheapest open-ended wrench that will fit over the socket (with the closed end...) ... Apply alittle welding, and there you have it... (No flames on the crappy welding please...)

James I agree completely I am not going to make some tool I believe in having the right tools for the job. I was just seeing if some one wanted to get rid of one that they had no use for. So i take it that i just need the 21 mm one?

How does a 5/8 spark plug socket help? Isn't the front nut 21mm?
I am thinking of using a O2 sensor socket for the 22mm Bilstein Front nut, and a flat wrench for the rear 19mm nut on the bilstein strut.
Any advice?

Not sure how this works in the US, but here in the UK you can buy a socket to remove oxygen sensors or diesel injectors which is pretty much exact to the Hazet. I went through this same dillema and found this socket in the local auto parts store. It allows the wire for the sensor to hang out whilst it's undone. You can get them in various sizes, the right one is available. I was going to buy a long socket and cut out the side, this is already modified.
The advantage to this over the hex headed spark plug socket is that it allows you to torque the bolt after. Here's a link to what it looks like:
