Default OT: Who is a college drop out?

Since the MBA one came up, why not ask the complete opposite.

Three years of college under my belt and I called it quits. I may complete my last year for a personal goal but thats it.

I work in my underware, dont shower until 4pm most days, work from the house, ski during lunch, run my own schedule. I will never work in 8-5 office job ever again and my next career move will be working for myself.

Life isnt bad!

Heh thats funny man...... i shouldve dropped out it took me like 7 years cause i was working full time to pay for it. The funny thing is most of the really wealthy people didnt even go to college.

Dell, Waitt, Ellison, Gates--poor guys. Imagine what they would be today if they didnt drop out.

ROFLMAO! I thought the other thread was a bit over the top, but hey, we're a diverse group so it's not like we should all agree on everything, right?

Thanks for the laugh.

I do have a degree but I guess you could say I'm a dropout since I went for another and never finished it. Maybe I should have stayed so I could drop my car off and write a check for the engine rebuild instead of doing it by myself on a month to month basis???

Yeah quit after three years. I know some people that are educated fools. Now they want experience, and like that old clique (i guess I would have spelled it right if I had finished) It's all who you know.

I know some folks that have Ph.D's and still drive junk cars and can definitely afford a newer one. How do you teach someone to have character?
Money or education surely can't buy that.

By the same token, I know plenty who rent a loft in Beverly Hills, lease or finance a badass ride and a dope watch, but if they need to put together $10K one day for emergency purposes they'll have to go and take out a loan or dump one of the above. One month they're buying tables at clubs and eating at expensive restaurants, the next they're at home schlepping it on the couch with In'N Out Burger. You can have all the character in the world, but if you're a low-class chump fascinated by material wealth it'll eventually come around to bite you in the a$$.

It's all in perspective and knowing who you're dealing with...balance is the name of the game IMHO with the luxuries in life.

I don't think that college dropout is the opposite of the MBA question...is it? I would see ,"who never attended college" as a more appropriate opposite to the question.

Me...I dropped out of Truck drivers school....I might start my own poll!
