Something similar happened to a neighbor of mine ... except in between the two cars was his small daughter. Kinda puts things in perspective, doesn't it?

My recent mishap was at the dealership. Their tech backed into another car So at least I have them fixing it and it wasn't a family thing. I feel your pain though

Well, that's why my daughter always check what's behind the car before she back up.

Sometimes 'others' just treat items, such as exotic cars, as 'things' and are apathetic as to what they really are / really represent (to those who appreciate the better things in life.)
You know my father died in car accident on his way back from Houston (in his 911). May/08/05 IH-10. That's the honest truth. Funny how the car never came to mind when i heard the news. He loved his car...but... In the end they are just "things".

Sorry about your dad, Mel.
Thanks brother. Just trying to put things into perspective without trying to hijack the thread.
