I Just put the Fab Speed tips on - single wall- stainless/polished and they look great- not cheap tho- I think $ 400 +? I have no idea why this pic is sideways...

At first glance the Fabspeed ones look more flush than the OE? I had OE ones in the past. I do like the look.
Anyone have a pair of WB ones to sell me? I have been looking for a while now...

I have the OEM wide ovals as well- but mine are scraped up pretty bad. OEM tips are about $ 800 a set- IF you can find them. I think the Fabspeeds are as close as you can get to OEM look- as far a flush fitting, there's a good deal of play in the whole exhaust system to adjust for fit. And thanks for fixing the Pick!!!

^^ I found there is almost no "play for adjustment" on my 993, unlike on my GT3 where there is a lot of play. I called Darin and he confirmed 993 is not very adjustable.

The OEM wide ovals on Opo's white targa seem to stick out a bit more than normal, so I wouldn't use that one as a basis for comparison. To me the Fabspeed tips seem to sit in the same position as the OEM wide ovals. If there's any difference, it is negligible and likely due to positioning differences in the other exhaust components.
The tips themselves don't have any ability to adjust in or out due to the ball/cup design. You can only adjust the angle at which they are tightened down. Any differences in how much they stick out from the bumper are based on the muffler outlet position relative to the bumper cutout.

Darin used to make these ... I went with Black Velvet Ceramic coat ... about 8 years old. They are on a 95 C2 ... I don't think he does them anymore.

I run these and they look very close to the OEM wide ovals. Seem to stick out the same amount as well. Double wall. They'll be going in for cerakote in satin black this winter. Cant beat the price, 800 for OEM is ridiculous.

I’ve been working on my neighbor’s 993 over the last month. One of the minor bits was replacing the stock exhaust tips with Fabspeed wide ovals. Once the tips arrived, he was pretty turned off by the poor quality of the chrome - you could actually see some sort of pattern of marks or scratches under the finish.
We sent those back and picked up a set of factory wide ovals from Gert for about $550... Perfect.

Agreed, the Fabspeed tips are poor quality. Even though my chrome finish was fine, the inner coating only lastest a few thousand miles before it started wearing off. Looked horrible. You can get a glimpse at it in my video below. Anyway, fabspeed replaced the tips once but the same issue happened again. They advise me to not clean the inside and the carbon build-up would make them look good again. I am not kidding you on that. When I told them that I clean around the inside, they told me no one does that implying I was crazy to do so. Anyway, I ended up getting them done by a local powder coater and that resolved the problem. I scratched them a year later and just ended up buying OEM wide oval from Carnewal. . Never looked back and have no issues with quality.

Hey guys,
Jumping on this thread as also looking at new tips for my 993 NB. I have the RUF ones (up for sale BTW), but the are for a wide body so stick out too much for my liking. Hearing a lot of mixed reviews on good and bad - have seen these ones on Ebay that are cheap enough that I thought worth a try:

Has anyone purchased and if so any feedback?
