Three Wheelin'
I had my car inspected a week or so ago.
In NY state - they - in real-time - connect and get your car (id'd via it's VIN) to talk to the mother-ship in Albany. No fudging possible.
Having my own code scanner I "knew" everything was OK - readiness-monitor-wise and (zero) CEL-problem-wise. No problems or issues safety-wise either (having just come off a 30K mile service, new tires, etc. etc. etc.)
Good for another year...

Congrats! I feel your pain guys. I had two cars that were impossible to get them to pass emissions. My RX7 was a nightmare. I basically spent a weekend installing all the emissions related parts back on the car and had to run a 12v corvette air pump that only lasted a few minutes before it fried. That was typically hooked up right before I got to the shop Then it would barely pass and back to the garage to be dismantled. For all you tree hugging people I only drove the car to and from the track.
My E30 M3 was a whole different ball game... Damn, I need a new hobby.
