I had a 2000, really liked it....had almost a retro/old school feel even for A 2000. I never had any major mechnical issues but.......it did burn to the ground in the spring or I would have kept it(apparently its a little sensitive to rodents chewing the wires)

You should check with the dealer or any owners(theres an owner forum out there that slips my mind) about having it sit and what to do. The few issues I had when I first got it were attributed to it "sitting" for a couple mos unused. i ve since heard that they dont do well when they sit for too long from others......

Actually, is the other way around. A Toyota towing a Range Rover out! LOL!

On the off roading day I was able to climb everything and go anywhere, and decided to give the hardest course a try (mud pits), I was not surprised as I have street tires, even trucks with big chucks of mud tires got stuck also.

The extended ride height mode really works well for tough off road situation, wish my 993 had that feature.

I love my truck. I've got 128k miles on the beast and haven't had that many issues. Mostly wear and tear items and no more air suspension to worry about.

Friar 93,
What sort of issues did you have with yours when it sat for long periods without use? I spoke with the dealer in my neighbourhood and they told me to use a battery tender instead of unplugging the battery, which I have now done. The car is now is sleep mode til early Oct...hope it is ok when my wife goes to start it then.

What to see how tuff the land rovers are? My wife and two kids walked away from this without a scratch. The car rolled on the freeway three times.
