The car I'm interested in locating is a low mileage, excellent condition, 1997 or 1998 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. Color will not be as important as condition, but it must have the 6 speed manual transmission, not the tiptronic. If your friend has a source or contact that can help me locate a top specimen I would love to chat with him.

As you probably know, Porsche did not manufacture widebody convertibles for the 993. There are a few conversions out there and even one on this list. But it is a C2S.

Actually, the factory did make a few C4S cabs on some sort of special basis. I saw one in Arlington, VA (where i live) a month ago and followed up to find out if it was modified after production (a huge expense). I lost the thread now, but there appear to be several made by the factory. Good luck finding one!
