I used to use Krylon 1613 Semi Flat Black on my Fuchs' centers on my old car about once a year to freshen them up. I have used this paint on everything for years. For the wheels, the paint is quite durable and very factory looking.
I was pleased to find that after repainting a trim piece on my '96 Targa this afternoon the Semi Flat is virtually identical to the Porsche factory trim texture.
In the picture below The rear black trim piece under the window is the Krylon, the piece along the door is factory

The Krylon Semi Flat just comes out like that, its always even. Took them off to clean them up then wiped down with lacquer thinner and spritzed them. Roughly taped up the edge. I wiped overspray off with lacquer thinner then never-dull. It wont hold up to a lug wrench. So you put the nuts on and touch up spray. it blends really well. If you are painting a Silver wheel, you need a good quality silver then a clear coat.
