No idea what lube was in there before, but I will be changing it before I go out again.
I had the exact same problem with Delvac. I took it to the dealer and they put in 80W90 and it's back to normal. Verified on the track.

Jim (holmes), sorry to hear about your troubles.

When I researched tranny oil, I primarily looked for posts on the Racing and DE forum and as per Bill's comments, I found that nearly everyone uses Delvac on Cup, RS, RSR and track cars. My box is regeared and the shop that built it recommended Delvac too. I just changed the fluid in my other C4S to Swepco 201 and that works well for street.

Jimbo: I had that same crunch going from first to second on my C2 cab. I don't know what fluid was in the box when I bought it but I changed to Swepco 201 and it improved some, FYI.

Thanks Jim. Glad to hear that at least one other has had the same issue. I certainly hope that is the issue and it is not something inside the box!

I'll try some Redline 75-90 gl5 that I already have. If that doesn't fix it, I'll go down to the dealership and beg for some of their oil...

Lets hope for the best...
Pete

I did exactly the opposite, with the same results. Couldn't get the Mobil 1 out fast enough. I am one who swears by Swepco 201, but as others have pointed out, you need to find what works in YOUR car.
