Default LPPM versus RSR mods?!?!?

Any recent feelings on these two mods? One is cheap, one is not. One keeps stock appearance, one does not. Depending on mod process, one facilitates more decibels than the other, Etc... [SIZE=4][COLOR=Navy]

Do the LPMM, if you don't like, buy RSR.

That's a great idea! Wonder if I can sell my LPMM modded system if I want to go RSR?

For more than a factory stock muffler, methinks.

I think someone just sold some LPMMs for $400 here.
Marlon, I am going to try to do a high quality stereo recording of the stock and LPMMs once I finish mine. I will use a decibel meter and make an audio file that will not only demonstrate the tone, but the two sound levels will be pretty true in volume difference. Gonna take me a couple weeks though.

RSR mufflers are a LOT lighter than factory / LPMM. That's all I need to know to make the decision.

To be more specific:
Factory mufflers (pair) = 34 lbs
RSR mufflers (pair) = 19 lbs

Yeap, I weighted mine and the RSR's are 15 pounds lighter.

Steel wool, fiberglass packing and there are a few pipes less inside than stock.

I had RSRs (major grin factor), simply awesome... but I've heard LPMM. So I'd go with RSRLPMM.

Or... you can make it simple, no mufflers at all

Now, there's also the sport cats option. Less weight, more sound. And of course, more money.

I was amazed, back in 2001 when I received my mufflers back from Robin, how much lighter they were. Plus shipping back was a little less that shipping them out

I have heard the LPMM on many different 993's, both with and without gutted mufflers. I still really really like the RSR iteration. Best idle sound, best mid range -tone-..

I also have the RSR's and love the sound, But I must admit some of the guys have the LPMM's here and I like them also...they are much louder under full acceleration than the RSR's...almost on the edge for me and I know my SO would probably tell me about it. The RSR's fill my bill.
