Bolt length is always measured from under the bolt head.
Here are the part nos. from the seating parts catalog:
- Seat bolts 900.119.030.02 (M8x20) for 993 seats
- Seat bolts 900.119.081.02 (M8x35) for some other p-cars.

Just to check--the OE bolts are not some super hardened version are they? It would be good to know that grade 8.8 bolts are not a dangerous step down.

I may remove my driver's seat this week and swap the factory chip back in. Apart from the seat bolts, what other items should I be concerned about removing/unplugging under the seat? I have 8-way power seats, supple leather.

Be careful with that flexible drive shaft. Jiggle it too much and it will come off and then your seat will be stuck. Also a good time to check that connection and snug it.

Reviving this ancient thread...would these be good replacements for the OEM seat rail bolts?

The head height of the rail to chassis bolt isn't critical, you do want button heads for the side mount to rail bolts, see the link I posted for pics

The lower height also makes it a tiny bit easier to get a straight shot with the allen socket.
It may not make a difference.
