I guess I'm old-fashioned, but I'm still struggling with the concept of buying a 12 year old car on ebay ... unless you happen to be near Red Bank. Seems to me the seller's decision to go through I-Sold-It is an added complication.
If I were betting, I'd say the car won't meet the reserve. Primarily because the combination of e-bay/I-Sold-It seems to me to encourage low ball bids.

eBay is useful for "exposure". We're all talking about it, right? My bet is, a lot of eBay cars ultimately get sold later outside of eBay, when a potential buyer makes a deal after first seeing it on the auction. A few days just isn't enough for a careful buyer to make contact and ask questions, maybe go to see the car, get a PPI, etc.

Wish I lived closer to take a look at this car in person. I would have seriously considered it. I'm keeping an eye on it to see what it goes for though. Buy it now was 29,500 from what I remember...

38K miles! Even 29,500 might be pretty a pretty good deal for a good solid car. But you never know until you see it. I could have a new clip or any other array of weirdness (water damage from New Orleans???) - or it could could be pristine. Gotta' see it in person and size up the panel lines, smell, hear it, et etc.

If the car was closer to a major city or on the West coast, it would fetch a higher price. Too bad someone couldn't check it out.

Wall is only about 15mins or so from me, I *might* be able to check it out this week if anyone is interested. My schedule during the week can be a bit weird, but if buyer/seller are flexible I could work something out.

It will be a show down in the last few seconds of the auction, I predict.
When I bought my C4 on Ebay, I accidently bid $350,000. Yes, $350k. I thought I was bidding $35k because I wanted the owner to know that I was serious if the car didnt hit the reserve. He told me it was $39k a few days before the end of the auction and if it didnt sell, he would work with me. Low and behold, I about had a heart attack when "Your bid of $350,000.00" was confirmed in the last few seconds of the auction. He had lowered his reserve from $39k to $36k in a last hour of the auction and of course I hit the reserve of $36k and no one in their right mind would have ever bid $350k for my C4. He asked me "how did you know my reserve of $36k"? Told the story, we both got a chuckle. Bought my 77 Bronco Sport from him on Ebay a year later.
So almost by accident, I own the Porsche I drive today.
