Bought a sport roll bar off someone in Florida but it doesn't have instructions. Anyone have some? The guys at DAS are too busy to answer their phone so far. Thanks!

It's pretty much a follow your nose project.
Don't know if the stock seats allow enough room, on mine w/ 1 piece bucket I removed the passenger seat for access.
The attachments furthest back needed ~.2" shims on both sides.
The transverse bar goes in first, then the rear bolts then the front
The last bolt needed some persuasion to line up properly, I had to torque the big transverse bar to get it in

There are instructions on the das-sport website, but they're not very good (oddly, they assume that the bar will actually fit properly...). You'll definitely need a big spreader/clamp from Home Despot. I found that loosening up the rear shelf helps.
If you're lucky, yours won't creak as loudly as mine while driving.

I have installed a few of these and want to make sure you have some heavy duty ratchet straps as well as a bottle jack and some misc. pieces of wood. Both of the above tools may be needed to spread or distort the aft legs allowing them to bolt up.
Otherwise, its really not that hard, just a lot of work messing around with interior bits.

Echo what the others have said. When we installed a used bar in my friends car, we took some (big) tools and bent the bar legs as needed so that it fits correctly without needing the straps/persuaders while in the car. This involved a few trial fittings, a floor jack and lots of interesting straps and bracing. Now that it is done, the bar goes in without any fuss.
I will certainly do this to my bar if I ever happen to take it out again.![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
One other question that comes up often is that the seat belt retaining bolt is a 7/16 nf rather than a metric bolt.

Do you notice serious improvement after fitting one of these in terms of stiffness?
Is it just to provide somewhere to mount harnesses?
Doesn't seem to offer much in the way of driver protection...

It is quite effective in rollover protection and is not just a hanging point for harnesses. The bar ties into some very strong points in the car and not just the flimsy floor pan. PCA has declared it legal for club racing, although it obviously doesn't have the full driver protection that a properly designed cage provides.

Check out the rules. If you stay within your designated class, in my case D class, you can run a bar. If you make a modification that bumps you to prepared or higher, you have to run a full cage.
