Default Another tire and size question

I got a blow out last night, Im gonna toss a new set of tires on. The targa wheels are 7 in the front and stock is:
205/50-17 F 255/40-17 R
Im tempted to go a tad wider for a bit more traction and agressive looks but not all the way to 225s in the front, because the Targa rims are only 7inch

Do you guys think
215/50-17 (25.5 inch dia)
275/40-17 (25.7 inch dia)

would these be a good balance?
Or should I jsut go stock size?

Im gonna try out these Kuhmos ECSTA SPTS I think cuz they are cheap and seem like good daily driver tires

Thanks

Stock size is best in your situation. Those 215/50s would be balloons (too-tall sidewall), and the 275/40s are a stretch on 9" wheels. You can easily go 265/40 on the rear and 225/45 on the front, it's not a problem.

I think you are right. Maybe down the road Ill go to 18s and get wider, but for now Ill go stock.
Thanks
