Seinfeld ordered the car and they produced it in ROW spec because the US production of 993's was already shut down. It even has a km/h speedo. It was a huge publicity stunt with pictures at the end of the assembly line with every worker next to the car. Then, the car was brought to Pebble Beach in August 1998 where Wiedeking and the PCNA president then (what was his name again?) handed him the keys. Porsche did make another handful of 993's after this one. They were sold within Germany, however. One of them, a 993 Turbo, was a gift to the German chancellor.
