Note that the esteemed Mr. Andreas used the word "want." Good luck getting a torque wrench on some of the plugs with the engine in the car - especially the one behind the power steering pump

I have long skinny piano fingers and so #6 was no big deal, I had more problems renewing the lower valve cover bolts with B+B headers onboard. For the #6 plug I used a socket with an elbow that was machined to the socket and a 2 inch extension and that did the trick. Remember that old Porsche tool kit spark plug tool ? I found it inferior to the above set up. Thanks, Patrick

That vacuum unit was no problem coming out on my car, but it took some work to get it back in. Mine was a little gummed up, but not like yours. Still, before replacing it, I'd clean it all up real good with brake cleaner or whatever, maybe spray some WD-40 on it when it's all clean and then reinstall. I haven't had any problems since.

Thanks Rick, I got the two 10mm bolts off but what is hanging it up ? Is the linkage the problem ?
Are there more bolts ?

Thanks, Patrick

Nope, just two bolts and two hoses. Takes some careful wiggling though.
