Talking Thanks for the feed back....

My pre-cat 02 sensors are installed...the post cat O2 sensors are secured with tie wrap...I had better look to see if they are grounded.

The best part about the cat bypass pipes, the incredible sound. It takes me back to my old hot rod days. A 993 with cat bypass pipes simply sounds evil, especially on idle, believe it or not.

Trust me, I have considered your suggestion. The bypass pipes sound great! Will I get a good sound with stock mufflersr and a cat bypass? I am afraid to end up with something that sounds close to stock - I want an unquestionable change in sound.

My only concern is passing PA inspections, emissions, etc. Will the cat bypass pipes cuase any problems surrounding this?

If not, it is something I will seriously consider.

Default The Sound...

Chris from DACH X will get back to you...suggest you contact him personally. I strongly suspect you will NOT pass emissions testing with Cat Bypass pipes. I know I am putting my cats back on

When you fire it up for the Inspector, the Cat will be out of the Bag (Pardon the Pun; I couldn't help myself), I suspect. Note, I have not heard cat bypass with stock mufflers.

I don't drive my car on public roads so I suffer NOT from Green Guilt.

Default Sponsorship status...

Good question....Chris says he is working with John Dunkle on this. He may be a sponsor, ask John or Chris.

Fabspeed is, we know that.

Not as gurgling, the RSR's are doing that. A stock or motorsound muff is a really nice setup and is the way I run my car.

Is Dach X a Rennlist Sponsor?
I have worked out my dues with John, and have come up with our logo etc. Since doing all of that, sales have been......well virtually non existent so we have yet to pursue further. I was hoping for a GB so I could send him a years dues and be done with it..............so in answer to the Q, no quite yet. This is still a "hobby" business for us and so .......

And finally, one will not pass emissions with the by pass. Our 200 cell cat pipes would though

the fiberglass packed removable inserts have been replaced by CC Inserts
Dave - what are CC Inserts? Where do I get them? My fibreglass packed inserts need repacking and I don't know anywhere that sells the fibreglass sheets they use.

You could also just wrap it in SS wool. That is what a lot of mufflers utilize.
