I apologise to Alex2324. He made a pretty astute observation and asked a legitimate question. I was in a frivolous mood. Sorry I started this.

Default This is not a quiz on wheels, but...

Does anyone know the manufacturer of these 2 piece wheels. They were on the car when I bought it, and looked decent so I left them on. I just wanted to know if they were really really nice wheels or just so so wheels, before I replace them. They are true 2-piece modular wheels, ( no fake screws here). Any comments welcome.

No biggy Terry, but now's your chance to redeem yourself if you could answer the $20 question above. If not I still forgive you. )

Topping out on the runway... all I needed were some wings mounted on the side.

I actually remember reading something about it, but I believe it was for the standard 17" cup wheels. I don't know if it was true for the tech wheels...but it sounds good.

I think the air extracting capability of the wheels has more to do with the profile of the spokes than their shape (when viewed from the side of the car). My 3rd generation RX7 used the same technology where they used bumps on the spoke surface to create a low pressure area behind the spoke to "pull" air from the wheel wells.

It's BS.
Simply cheaper to build 2 different wheels than 4......end of story.

This why I changed my wheels to GT3 style wheels.

Alex: pretty sure those wheels on your car are made by RH.

(and yes I was kidding about the "mirror image" wheels....)

Yes, you must swap the wheels to the opposite side if you take the engine cover off, which is why you see so many people with the wheels rotating in the wrong direction!

Make sure no one shoots a picture of your car from other than the driver side or else it will appear to be going backwards.
