I paid $300 or so for my Ruf module about 7 years ago...by far the best money I have spent on the car. That up/down really drove me nuts. I remember some people were contacting European owners to swap modules with them. I understand that the Euro module goes up/down at 80/40 mph. There were Euro owners that wanted the USA versions as well. Worth a try if it's important to you.
