Default What does the "S" stand for in C2S and C4S?

Anything?

Sorry if this has already been covered. I searched and found nothing.

Began to wonder when I saw C4S billed as "'Super' (Widebody)" on the 'bay.

"Super". This is a carryover from the old days (356)...

It generally means additional power, but it does not in the non-Turbo 993 and 996 cars...

So you're telling me that what I read on eBay is true?!? I guess there's a first time for everything.

"S" means "Sexy". I read that on the internet, so it must be true.

It denotes 'Slower' -- you see, the increased aero drag from those wide rear fenders just slow those things down.

the "S' stands for 'spensive'. As in "well son that thar C2S is more spensive than the regular C2 but a pretty *** always cost more, har-har".

Oh come on put him out of his misery.
The C2S and C4S are turbo bodied.
The C2S was rear wheel drive with the Carrera 2 drive train and brakes etc. The C4S had the Turbo set up with 4 wheel drive, turbo brakes etc.

That's what an "S" is. That doesn't explain why it's called "S" though.

I could see C4W - for widebody, or C4T for turbo-bodied.

It is a curious question - why the "S"?

I like the 'spensive answer.

Yeah, I know what the S is, just didn't know whether it stood for a word.

Come on, everyone knows that an "S" 993 has more power than the non-"S". Duh!

(just kidding--let's see if anyone takes the bait)
