2002 996 turbo for $52000
#31
Just for reference I paid $58K w/CPO from dealer in december for my 03 X-50 TT with 62K miles one local owner. It has NAV and a few other extras and full dealer records. $142K list. I would think $49-50K would be reasonable. There are a lot of them out there and are not holding value very good. It comes down to whats it worth to you to drive a very fun and able car that has the maintenance and reliability of a Toyota."
when you say "like a toyota", u mean very reliable, right?

"Aren't these the cars that can get 600 HP from just chipping them? "
No. You can probably get them from 415 HP to about 450hp with just an agressive ECU program. To make bigger numbers, you'll need turbos, exhaust, and intake work (plus oil coolers and intercooolers). But, depeneding upon the ingredients, well OVER 600 HP is quite easily had.

Wow. I never realized they were becoming so (relatively) affordable. Here's one just up the road from me, with just over 50,000 miles.

To me, the air scoops on the turbo 996's break up that slab side look nicely. That, along with the facelift in the front make these cars quite fetching.
I'd buy one...but I'd still keep the 993 C2S.

Robin,
Why not 993tt?
However, if you must have this 996tt then my advice is try to make a deal outside of the ebay. That way seller save some money and so will you!
BTW, when are we gonna get together? SH.

If you're not so sure how long you'll keep it, mid-40s is where I'd want to be. I think the 996s will continue to depreciate for a while.
