Rod is a star...I live in the Bay Area, Rod works out of Roseville (~2 hrs away), so my install started over the phone. He walked me through the recommended system and scheduled me for a Thursday install.
I dropped the car off yesterday morning on the way to Tahoe. Rod let me borrow his car, which I drove to Tahoe. He then, after the install was complete, ~7pm, drove my car to me up in Tahoe, what a fantastic resource!!!!
The system sounds amazing...6.9 Audison amp under the passenger seat, high end Focal speakers and the footwell Sub enclosures...
CLEAN- both the install and the sound....
Two thumbs up for Rod....

completely agree about Rod. He was the only expert that could take my CR-1 with HiFi system and connect it with my new CDR-220, with iPod links to boot. fast service, very friendly and a great price.
When I'm ready to upgrade the amp and speakers, I'll be making the 2 hour drive as well.

Well, I am in Tahoe now without my camera, so pics will be difficult...but, the only change in appearance is the rear seat footwell subs, which are all pictured on Rennlist, very sleek!
The cost, well, this may not be helpful as I have no idea of the model numbers of the equipment, but I was able to come in under 4K...

Thanks for the info, AC.
I am trying to decide how much I want to spend on the audio upgrades. My CDR-210 skips and I can hear a loose connection to the speakers when driving over "rough" roads. I think one of those new Alpine iPod compatible units with Bluetooth is in the works for me...

rod is definitely excellent with the custom sub-enclosures. i purchased 2 of them fitted with 8in jl audio a year ago for my cab. my friend helped me with the install and i am running 750 watts (jl audio amps) and running it with monster cables and 4.1. my car sounds great with the top down. i paid less than 4k for the whole job and rod charged me 600 for the subs....

I would love to have Rod install a system in my 993, but currently he has no plans for an Los Angeles Tour, like the old days. Does anyone know of a comparable installer in the LA area that has similar experience with Porsches and would "do it right" ??
I want to add an Audison LRX 2.4 and some Hertz Hi Energy Components in the doors to my CDR-220. I figure I can get the stuff from Rod, but need a local installer. I would dirve up there, but that might be a tough sell on the wife.
Thanks
