Default Carbon fiber contrast on body?

I am in need of an opinion (or many )
Would you put a carbon fiber spoiler on the front of a Guards Red cab (black top) or would you paint it to match the body color?
Thanks
Ron

Pretty sure he means the bumper/splitter combo...

If it were my car, I'd paint it. The carbon fiber look is not my favorite, unless it's for winglets or other small bits on a race car.

I agree with Mark here.. I'd paint it. It would have been different if lets say the mirrors or the rear spoiler was CF as well.. Trying to picture it but its difficult

CF has one purpose, save weight. You're driving a heavy 993 cab. Doesn't make any sense. Plus, I don't think red will look right with CF aero.

CF has two purposes: save weight and show off to the teenage tuner crowd.

Since it's a style decision, you have to think about context. If you spend your time "profiling" and exposed cf is fashionable where you hang out, then go for it.

You'll need a full cf turbo tail for balance, though.

Personally, I'd do it only if trying out for the upcoming movie, "The Rice & the Ridiculous". All kidding aside, I love what CF is, but seeing it as a display item seems poseur to me. But at the end of the day, the perfect Porsche is the one you think is perfect, so if you like it do it.

I think for a red car you're better off painting it. For street cars, external natural carbon fiber parts might work on say, my car...given the greyish-green color.

I'd paint the splitters red although I ended up liking my C/F hood more than I though I would (see the pic). Guards Red and black certainly are a good match.

BTW, I'm selling my hood (I need to add weight if I go club racing), $250 + shipping. PM if interested.

If the deal doesn't work out with LJ, send me an email. That will be a nice addition for Rufus! ca993twin@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Well put. That includes CF stick-on interior bits ,IMHO.
