Default Body Shop in Detroit Area

I had an unfortunate run in (literally) with a deer. Can anyone recommend a top notch body shop that is used to working with Porsche cars in the Detroit area.

About 10 years ago, I had work done on my M3 at Autometrics in Pontiac/Bloomfield. It's the one at Telegraph and Orchard Lake across from the Home Depot.

I was happy with the work and they always have Porsches and other high end vehicles there. Someone once told me that the different Autometrics branches each have their own specialty, ie., German cars, Italian cars, Japanese cars, etc. Don't know if that's true, but it's worth a call.

Good luck.

Dittos for Autometric. Take your car there. They'll fix it up for you.

I got rear-ended in the company owned E320 a couple months ago. MB of Novi said they did not have a body shop and all their work goes to Autometrics in Pontiac. I did not send the car there for logistical reasons but I would think that their work must be good if the MB dealer sends all their work to them.

Yup, Autometrics is good. They're somewhat expensive--but good.
