I just saw it as I have been away from the computer all day. If he does extend it I am in as it would be a nice extra present for my wife's Birthday. She wants a cupholder for the 993.

Huh? I guess it's time for him to add some more equipment at the factory. Actually I appreciate him for recognizing his ability to supply as opposed to empty promises and delays.

I missed out...oh well. Let me know if it changes or I'll buck up the $10.00 fleabay premium.

Geeze, if they are CNC guys it just a matter of additional blanks.....sounds like there is market pull here!

I was going to buy but I have the VW folding one good for two cups so I will stay that way..

Cheers,

Mike

After 12 years we're still trying to find cup holders. If you're driving really slow a Starbucks grande will stay just fine between the emergency brake handle and passenger seat.

If you're driving really fast don't drink and drive!

Try the VW (from the Jetta I think). It works great, has room for two cups, and hinges out of the way when its not used. I think its readily available (at least it was when I bought mine).

The cupholder in this thread are really neat and simple though....

Cheers,

Mike.

I have that cupholder in both my cars and IMHO it's pretty good value for the money and folds nicely away not in use...works fine but after 2-3 years the rubber that stabilizes the cup gets brittle and tears off

Sorry folks....the owner of Inventiva is sticking hard to his limit of 10. The 10 folks that I have on the first come, first served basis is:
1. SCMomentum
2. David in LA
3. LJ in Van
4. Mingson
5. Pedsburg
6. Father of 3
7. smddanny
8. Ed Burdell
9. Mind over Motorsports
10. Mark D

If any back out or do not return my PM's, I will move on down the list. I wish he was interested in supplying more for this but he isn't. I appreciate the responses...

Respectfully,

Dave

+1

Anyone know if these things work with aftermarket seats? I assume it will depend on which specific seat but just to get an idea? TIA

Dave,

Thanks for the PM. It's a pity the guy won't ship overseas, so someone else can take my place on the list .

Viggo: Dave sent me a PM regarding my inquiry where the seller of the cupholders replies as follows:

"The cup holder attaches to the fixed seat rails so I will not guarantee it will work if the rails have changed for aftermarket seats."

Hope this helps.
