Delaminated center caps?
I have the painted (factory) center caps on my 17 inch cup wheels, and there is a clear thick plastic coating that is flaking off in spots. It's faded to yellow and looks like crap.
I have not been sucessful in peeling it all off when I tried. As the caps are plastic, my plan B of sand blasting/chemical cleaning and repainting silver is also out the window.
Any one have any success in removing the clear plasitic top coat?
Or alternatively, a source for inexpensive plain wheel caps (not painted) to replace them with?
I see a s et of Fikses in my future and thus don't want to spend a mint on my cups...
Thanks for any help.
