Has anyone ever tried to work a group buy on the armrest or cupholder?

I saw a Bird armrest in a fellow 993 owner's car the other day. Very well made and perfectly functional. I may purchase one someday but would not want the lock. If someone broke into my car and wanted something contained within the armrest, they would get it - lock or no lock.

I do have the Air-1 cupholder and think it's very well made. I only attach if I know I'll have a use for it. Removing and installing takes all of 10 seconds.

I bought mine used off of eBay and there was no key for the lock. Easy fix with a $10 lock from the local locksmith. It was an exact fit.

Another vote for the Air-1. IIRC it was cheaper to buy off eBay.
However, I have managed to bend the bolt (moved the seat forward too hard too many times - doh!) and strip the plastic wing off the screw. Anyone know the dimensions on that bolt? Or should I just contact Air-1?

RKB why did you have to go and jinks me like that! Slid the seat up today to adjust my amp and forgot to remove the cup holder and bent the bolt. CRAP! Guess I am ordering a new one as well. Lesson learned!

I sent an e-mail to the folks that make the Air-1 to gauge interest in a Group Buy. I'll keep everyone posted.

I have both A-1(cheaper and got it first) and Bird's Armrest(ebay-good deal) and depends on what mood I'm in, I'll usually stick drinks in the A-1 and sometimes use Bird's for more valuable stuffs...
