Sorry for the delayed response. I actually had to go look because mine has held up so well I haven't pulled it out in three years.

The name of the tape is 3M heavy duty indoor/outdoor mounting tape. It's very thin and the tape itself is actually black (the paper it's mounted to is white though, so look carefully). It comes in a red package, with a photo of a perosn mounting an address placard on their house.

I bought 2-3 double sided tapes but after trying the stickier, heavier and thicker ones on one piece, I ditched them in favor of the ultra thin one as the CF weighs nothing anyway. Keep in mind some of the pieces like the one behind the gauges needs no tape as the gauges hold it in and the ones that insert on each side of the steering wheel for the dash only need tape on other spots, as they are also held in place at the end next to the steering wheel.

Here is a picture of the tape I used. I used it because it is strong (made for outdoor use), black so it won't show and thing so it doesn't push the CF off the mounting surface very much.

Hope this helps.

FWIW, I bought real (not decorative) RS carbon fibre door panels from FVD but, since they actually weighed MORE than the vinyl ones from AppBiz (and I wanted more weight reduction than bling), I stuck with the AppBiz ones.

I recently got a set of the interior trim from Marcus, the parts met my already high expectations from all the praise on this board. I'm trying a thinner 3M adhesive tape to see if it's good for mounting. However I did ask Marcus what he used for the adhesive, it was INNOTEC TOPFIX see WWW.INNOTEC-WORLD.COM . It's a two part adhesive from what I can gather, but unfortunately I cannot find it locally here.

Does anyone know if Marcus is still selling these carbon pieces? I sent an email to him but no reply.
