993 RS arived with some tastefull decals.
Delema. I think they look o.k. They have a little history, the car will not be driven very often.
Should they stay or should they go.
Thanks in advance for the input.

Whaddya mean "RS"?? As in REAL RS??!!! As in unobtanium in this country RS? ...sorry, got a little sidetracked there with all the excitement. Well first off KUDOS to you, man!
Now as for the stickers, I'd ditch the door ones and keep the rest on. Just me, mind you. But unless this were a dedicated trackhound, I'd be satisfied with the others decals to remind me of the history, but the door ones would just annoy me.

What is the history behind the decals? Can't read them very well, kind of fuzzy pics, but looks like the one on the windshield says official F1 time-keeper, re: TAG Heuer. Porsche hasn't been involved in F1 so what was the car used for? Inquiring minds want to know!
Great car, congrats!

I am still researching the history. The previous owner was sponsed by Tag, Puma and the Carrera Cup races. I belive it was a pace car and then a show car. Car has no track time and 29000 KM on the ODO.
I am really torn. The decals are done very well, but they are a little much.
I go back and forth on a daily basis.

Keep the stickers on as long as you can, I like the look. If the car isn't out in the sun too much there shouldn't be an issue with fading (both stickers and paint around it) and the stickers should hold up from deteriorating.
Very nice car, collection & garage!

In my personal opinion, I would ditch anything, any dust particle, that isn't from the factory. why?
Because those stickers, still my opinion, evokes a chance that the car was tracked and tracked and tracked, and you stress to the fact that the car was never tracked.
In my part of the woods, I would not be able to convince someone that a pace car had numbers
on the door panels. Then again, every environment is different, and truth to some is false pretense to others.
I wouldn't neither take the chance to keep them, and a few years from now, decide to remove them to find that
the paint is shaded. Would I want to risk a total repaint? on an RS? noooooo, not me.
...and please start by removing the windshield brow

I would ditch the stickers. Take several high quality photographs and store them. If in the future you want the decals again, you can always get them reproduced.
I have had several Cup cars, and have reserached all of them to get them back to the original livery. I would think a car that didn't race, or was used as the pace car wouldn't have decals anyway. Maybe the windshield decal at best.
Bottom line....The car is beautiful and let the beauty of the car shine through! If it wasn't a racecar in the one of the Porsche series, i.e. Supercup or Carrera Cup, then it really doesn't have any history except for amateur sport history.

I say keep them for several reasons - you do not drive it often, the decals say that this car was built for the track, they are part of the history, they set it apart from from the rest of your collection, and you can always take them off later.
That said, the car would also look fabulous without them.
Tough decision.
